Welcome New Members!

I am pleased you have joined the KMSLF. You have submitted your acceptance, the dues are paid, and now you are ready to attend your first forum. Below are suggestions that will maximize your experience.

Before the Forum

  • If you plan to stay two nights, contact Teresa Redlingshafer with your desire to stay an extra night and how the extra room should be billed. The information should be communicated on your reservation form for each forum.

  • Dress for sessions is work/business; the Business Partner Social on Wednesday night is casual.

Upon Arrival

  • Introduce yourself to the business assistant, Teresa Redlingshafer, and me. We want to put a name and face together, as well as get to know you.

  • Business partners support this non-profit organization. Make sure you introduce yourself to them and visit their tables outside our meeting rooms. Learn more about their services so you can contact them for future needs.

Wednesday – Forum Day

  • Attend the new member reception prior to lunch on Wednesday of the Fall Forum. This meeting will be posted on the agenda with the room number. Grab a coffee, meet the new member cohort, and hear more about KMSLF.

  • Please join us for the Business Partner Social. Over time, you will experience some of Kansas City’s major attractions, as well as have the opportunity to meet the business partners and your colleagues in a casual, social setting. Join the fun!

During Sessions

  • Make sure you stay for all sessions. Granted, there are calendar events back home that you must maintain, but if at all possible, stay for our ending speakers.

  • Last but not least, engage with our presenters. Take advantage of the information that may very well impact your district in ways you didn’t anticipate.

After the Forum

  • Make sure you fill out the Forum evaluation when you receive it in your inbox. This feedback will help shape future forums.

Again, thank you for your membership and commitment to the goals of the organization. I look forward to meeting you!

Warmest regards,

Suzan Patton
